Synamedia is the largest global provider of video solutions. They are helping the best companies in the world transform their approach to bring incredible video experiences to audiences everywhere. Their software is deployed in 220 million set top boxes. One in every four pay TV households use their technology and over a thousand customers use their video networking technology. They are the engine behind broadcast TV. Their clients include many of the worlds most recognised over the top (OTT) media service providers and broadcasters such as Vodaphone and Sky.

Synamedia chose to work with gassProductions to create four bespoke 2.5D animations for a global campaign called Regroup. Rethink. Revolutionise. The campaign, was in part, a response to the pandemic. The videos served to highlight the seismic shifts in the OTT and broadcast landscape. The animations highlighted new opportunities and many of Synamedia's solutions.

This was a very exciting project for our creative team. The most challenging part of any animation is always conceptualising a script into something visual and then working that up into an animation. Adding to that, Synamedia services are, for the most part, tech and cloud-based, so our creative team had to think outside the box to realise the best ways of visually explaining what is essentially something that doesn't physically exist. The deadline was also tight, so the production had to run smoothly. It was an absolute pleasure delivering the final videos, and I am pleased they featured at the heart of their global campaign. All three videos were required quickly. Our team had a little over two months to version the initial scripts, generate test voiceover, create the draft style shots, produce the storyboards and animate. The project was delivered on time and on budget and we have gone on the create a large number of affiliated videos for Synamedia.
