Creating a music video to encourage women into STEM careers and higher education courses

Filming for the University of Cambridge

We're thrilled with the final video, gassProductions designed and delivered exactly what we wanted

In 2018, gassProductions was contacted by St Catherines College, Cambridge. The college were keen to create a music video for a recent track composed by their all girls choir. The objective was to create a music video that would inspire young women to consider STEM based careers and higher education courses. gassProductions designed and storyboarded a concept that combined footage of a young girl in awe of science in the natural world with footage from the University's STEM partners (NASA, British Airways, RAF, Ford) and footage shot of women engaged in STEM courses at the university. The video was shot over 4 days on location at the University of Cambridge campus. gassProductions supplied a 2 man crew to film the necessary shots. Once filming was completed the video was edited in-house at gassProductions. The video was edited in 3 days including colour grade and client revisions.
