After seven months of filming on the tropical island of Bermuda gassProductions wraps Ocean Vet.
Andrew Smith co-director and series producer said…
“It’s been an unbelievable adventure and the experience of a lifetime. Bermuda didn’t give up her secrets easily but with the persistence of our incredible production team and of course the expertise of the Ocean Vet crew Bermuda did eventually introduce us to eleven absolutely mind blowing marine species”.
“Veterinarian Dr Neil Burnie and marine biologist Choy Aming completed outstanding work helping to protect, save, and study humpback whales, turtles, eagle rays, sharks and so much more.
It was simply unbelievable to have the opportunity to see this unique and dedicated team at work.
It is undoubtedly going to be a fantastic series. We are already planning series two with initial response from MIP in Cannes very strong!”
“I would like to thank the huge amount of support we’ve had from Bermuda during the filming of the series and everyone who helped”
Cineflix Rights who own the sales rights to the series have already reported that its introduction to MIP went very well!
We’ve also provided some clips below. These were created for a series of talks at the BUEI during filming and offer a glimpse of Neil and the Ocean Vet team at work.
